The two "Equestrian" areas are accessed by parking at the Equestrian Trailhead. Non-equestrian users can only park there with permission. Check in at the Visitor's Center before each survey. You will be issued a parking pass for that day. Please make sure you park along the outer edges of the lot so that there’s plenty of space for trucks and trailers to park and turn around in the lot. Site 1 is located to the east of the parking area. Site 2 is located north of the parking area. A port-a-potty is available at the parking lot. The "Schultz Lake" survey area is accessed by parking in the first lot on the way to the Visitor's Center. Head north from the parking area into the survey area. Toilets and water are available at the Visitor's Center. Here is a link to a park map.
All volunteers must stop at the visitors desk and show your Nest Quest badge before starting your survey. Bring your parking pass to display on your dashboard while surveying. The "Ski Area" is accessed by parking at the Nordic Center parking lot and taking the trail to the east. The "Group" area is accessed by parking near the Group Camp and heading north into the prairie. The "Barn" area is accessed by parking on the west side of the barn off of Keats Ave N near the northern edge of the park. You will access this by entering a road that says "Park Staff Only". Follow a trail off to the south towards the woods and prairie. Toilets and water are available at the Nordic Center. Here is a link to the park map.
